  • Why does eShop Category description text not appear as desired?
There is a known bug which has not yet been corrected by the manufacturer.  Any formatting applied to eShop Catergory descriptions is converted into special characters which display on the page.  To solve the problem, enter only regular characters, and include no double spaces, breaks, or text formatting. We apologize for this inconvenience.
  • In the e-mail form, what is the difference between a 'text' and a 'string' field?
The difference between 'string' and 'text' is that when a field is set to 'text', it will allow visitors more space to type a message or a comment, while a 'string' is used mainly for shorter comments (such as promotional codes, the vistor's name, etc.)

  • How do I add images to my website?
In the editing interface, navigate to the page you wish to add an image to.  In the WYSIWYG editor, there will be a button that resembles an image of a mountain range with a sun; mousing over it will bring up a tooltip saying 'Insert/Edit Image'.  Clicking this will bring up the Image Properties window.  To choose an image, click on 'Browse Server', then upload the desired image from your computer.  Once this is done, clicking on the filename will automatically display your image in the preview window of the Image Properties page.  You can then drag and drop your image into its desired location on your web page.

  • Can I add links to my site on the pages?
Yes, but be careful.  Sitebuilder names your pages with numbers (ie page1, page2, and so on), so if you add new pages to the site, or remove pages, you may need to go back and adjust these.  Be sure to check to ensure they are working as expected after you publish your site.

  • How do I upload documents to my website?

    • Log into your Sitebuilder account (where you normally go to update your website)
    • Navigate to Pages from the link in the top left of your page
    • In the bottom of the center column, there is a category called 'Special Pages'.  Check the box next to File Download, and click the right arrow to move it into the column titled Your Site Structure.
    • Highlight File Download in 'Your Site Structure' and use the Page Position buttons in the far right column to move the page underneath Home.  Then, click the right arrow so that File Download is indented under Home.  This will make the File Download link appear within your home page.
    • Double click File Download and enter the name of your document
    • In the lower right corner, click Next and choose to apply the changes.
    • You should now be on the Edit page.  To the left will be your Site Map, a list of your web pages.  Find your document page underneath Home and click on it.
    • Upload your document using the tool that appears in the central pane.
    • Once you're finished, click Publish and make your update live.
